Probiotic Smoothies and Tips & Tricks for Toddlers

We all know the importance of daily probiotics.  Here’s some fun ways you can incorporate powdered probiotic into your child’s diet and into yours.  Check out these great tips and tricks for your toddler’s meals and smoothies for mom and dad!

Tips & Tricks for Toddlers:

  • Add to applesauce or a children's baby food/smoothie pouch
  • Add to yogurt, ice-cream
  • Add to spoonful of peanut/nut butter or peanut/nut butter sandwich
  • Add to any cold or room temperature liquid

 Make sure not to add probiotic to any food that is warm/hot.

Spring Smoothies

Strawberry Breakfast Smoothie
This smoothie tastes great and gives you a great start to your day.  It’s filled with probiotics and protein and is the perfect go to morning drink and afternoon snack.

  • 3/4 strawberry or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 scoop of ortho probiotic powder
  • ½ of orange juice
  • ¾ cup of freshly cut strawberries
  • Add ice and blend

Honey Banana Green Smoothie
A great way to get your probiotics and your essential vitamins with a great, sweet natural taste.

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 cup of greens (kale, spinach, green apple, or green of your choice)
  • 1 cup of unsweetened or sweetened milk/yogurt of your choice
  • Add a dollop of honey or syrup
  • 1 scoop of probiotic powder
  • Add ice and blend

Pina Colada Smoothie
Go bold with this wonderful tasting Pina Colada – that’s good for you, too!

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 cup of pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup of coconut milk or water (you can do less or more based on preference)
  • 1 scoop of Probiotic powder
  • Add ice and blend
  • Top with toasted shredded coconut
